That's actually not a good way to test , the metal verifier checks the conductivity of the sample represented by those numbers you see in measurement mode, however in those regular modes let's say silver 9999 it's showing a visual representation of that number within the acceptable range( the brackets). You would have to test a lot of samples like the people who made the sgima did to establish a range, they already did that for you ,this mode is useful for things that they did not sample, so let's say you wanted to test 40% silver clad Kennedy halfs there is no option for this but if you had a pile of already verified clad halfs you could test them and find out what the range is and then use it in the future to test out unverified clad halfs

In my opinion, buying either the silver state quarter proof sets, or the whole silver proof set is a better investment than buying regular junk silver. The reason is that the silver proofs will always sell at a premium over melt value because they are a numismatic or collectible item. The key is to get them as close to melt as possible, which has been more difficult lately because all kinds of silver have such high premiums on them.

Labor in hollow it’s way higher so basically you paying more per gram than solid yes it’s cheaper if you compare by size but by weight the hollow it’s way high price tag like if you pay 40 dollars per gram on a solid you going to pay 50 or more per gram on a hollow yes it’s bigger in size but a lot lighter weight so you want to invest don’t get anything hollow or semi hollow

Thanks for the video. I’m wearing a 14k 3.5mm solid that cost me 1500.00 at 28 grams and I like it but wanted a thicker 6mm chain for my pendant. I got the funds to afford it but am really apprehensive about dropping 3-4000 on a piece. I’m 35 and live a relaxed lifestyle and do not sleep with my chain on so after Watching your video I’m sold on the hollow as it should hold up just fine for a guy like me. At the end of the day I’m still wearing gold and what matters most is how you feel and not what others think. Besides I’ve never been told by someone that they like my chain but would like to know how much it weighs lol.
